This Seminar is targeted to junior researchers in the early stages of their career and will be led by Donald Frazier, PhD of the University of Kentucky National Institutes of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) program.

Objectives:

  • Prepare competitive, compelling, and successful grant proposals.
  • Identify funding agencies and determine which one is most appropriate for a specific proposal
  • Understand the steps of grant submission and the peer review process.
  • List important aspects of grant management that can be utilized in specific proposals.

Jointly sponsored by Hampton University’s Skin of Color Research Institute and Eastern Virginia Medical School.

The registration fee is $75. Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be served.
